Hi, I’m Emily!

I’m a Game Writer, a Producer, and an overall Video Game Nerd.

Emily Leonick

To make things short, I’m a writer who asks a lot of questions.

To make things long…

I've been working as a Game Writer and Producer for the last couple of years, but before that, I spent a good chunk of time as a Content Marketer and Strategist in various tech sectors. And because I've been a Freelance Writer since college, I've done a bit of everything from ghostwriting novels and scripts to crafting social media posts.

I’m looking to take that experience into my next Game Writer or Producer role.

One thing that sets me apart is my knack for game lore and storytelling. I've become the go-to person on my team for questions like, "What's the backstory on that statue in the game world?" or "What's the deal with these characters' relationships?" I'm all about consistency and making sure the story makes sense.

When it comes to project management, I'm a pro. I use Notion for my own life and projects, and in past jobs, I've used Jira and Confluence to keep things organized and on track. And because I love leaving things better than I found them, I always make sure to update team documentation or create it if it doesn’t exist yet.

Outside of work, you'll most likely find me in a bookstore, playing D&D, or hanging out with my dogs (check out the picture below!). And if you're curious about my gaming habits, my Steam activity is full of RPGs, various types of sims (Farming Sims hold a special place in my heart), and games that teach real-life skills.

Overall, I bring a unique blend of writing, project management, and gaming expertise to the table, making me a valuable addition to any creative team.
